Capital Briefing - October 28th

2008 Election
Barack Obama has asked his supporters to shirk their other responsibilities on election day and help get out the vote…
But why bother? Apparently Obama has already won the election…
Once he does, however, he’s going to have an unhappy Frenchman to look out for…
The chatter about Sarah Palin running for 2012 is getting louder and louder, and more than a few people think that her and McCain have given up on each other…
One wonders, however, who will be left to work for them if RedState gets its way and excommunicates “Sunshine Patriots” for conspiring with the enemy to elect Barack Obama. Apparently, even people like David Brooks, Peggy Noonan, David Frum, George Will, and Kathleen Parker who have still supported McCain-Palin but have been very weary of them at the same time, are on their chopping block. Internal dissent is apprently intolerable. I wonder if I too will be ostracized from the republican establishment for strongly disagreeing with and being openly hostile to the rather perverse insanity of the republican establishment. Sorry RedState, I love you 99% of the time, but you lost me on this one. I don’t support people because I’m on a “team” - I support them when they deserve it. I am not voting for Obama, but I am going to have to swallow an extremely bitter pill if I’m going to pull the lever for McCain.
Then again, I question the logic on RedState lately - especially when they write articles entitled “Seven Reasons McCain-Palin are a Lock to Win” - I mean, come on now…
But enough about this silly “presidency” - lets start talking about the REAL interesting race this year, that of the race for the Chairman of the RNC. John Henke of The Next Right is throwing his weight behind Fred Thompson, who is apparently interested.
Politico has detailed ten moments that it believes has really turned the congressional races…
Marc Ambinder has a note about a former Romney man going after Sarah Palin…
